POTTERS WHEEL – Adult, 4 or 8-week Workshop. Bring your coffee for this sunrise potters class!
This workshop is for beginner to intermediate builders and will either get you started or freshen you up on wheel throwing and hand building clay creations. Our program is a rotating program, meaning, you can start in any Sunday 9-11am. We give you a card to mark your progression and our instructor teaches you according to your level and what you want to learn.
During these sessions, depending on your level of the wheel, you will learn fundamental skills of throwing or advanced throwing, centering, building rights and wrongs, why’s and why not’s.
4 week workshop: primarily 4 weeks of building your skills, making various items. If you have something in mind to make, let us know, we can work up to it or on it depending on your skill level. Includes 12 lbs. of clay, glaze and Fireing.
8 week workshop: weeks 1-6 we will be building, week 7 or 8, after your pieces have been bisque fired we will discuss and glaze them and you can create more with up to 2 weeks to finish your pieces using your allotted Open Studio time. Includes 25 lbs. of clay, glaze and Fireing.
Each week you are welcome to enjoy up to 4 additional hours of Open Studio time where you can purchase more clay for making additional creations while you work on your skills without instruction.
Workshop Includes use of our facility and tools, glaze and the firing of your best pieces. The pieces you made here at our studio will be ready for pick up within 2 – 3 weeks. We will call and email you.
Please Note:
1. Makeup Classes we try to be as flexible as we can, we don’t want you missing out.
2. You are responsible for cleaning up your station and tools at the end of each class.
3. You have up to two additional weeks to finish your pieces with allotted Open Studio time (4 hours each week).
4. Pieces not picked up within 6 weeks from the date we called, emailed or made arrangements for pick up of your finished pieces will be donated.
5. Our instructors set up to sell their own Pottery at local shows, know that on occasion a weekend class may be postponed a week due to a show they are attending.
~We do have aprons but suggest to bring your own hand towel, remove jewelry, pull long hair back and wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty.
In the nature of the firing process, while we do our best, on occasion piece(s) get damaged during the firing process. Brush It Off will give replacement clay and time to make up for your loss.
